Stupid Is As Stupid Does
That day, for no particular reason, I decided to go for a little run. So I ran to the end of the road. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd run to the end of town. And when I got there, I thought maybe I'd just run across Greenbow County. And I figured, since I run this far, maybe I'd just run across the great state of Alabama. And that's what I did. I ran clear across Alabama. For no particular reason I just kept on going. I ran clear to the ocean. And when I got there, I figured, since I'd gone this far, I might as well turn around, just keep on going. When I got to another ocean, I figured, since I'd gone this far, I might as well just turn back, keep right on going.
- Forest Gump
I want a friend like Forest Gump.
This movie is great with getting emotion outta me.
It makes me want to run. Anywhere, everywhere, forever
Makes me want to live more simple easy life.
Shows me the how much keeping your word can actually change your life.
Makes me miss my family and appreciate the family i have.
Makes me fall in love with Gump and his easy, simple, passion and true love for Jenny.
Good ol' Forest Gump.

The Works at work.
So, today, i was working at Fergburger again, and of course it was quite busy, as it usually is. It was towards the end of the night, around dinner time, which is especially its busiest time. Tonight was bit more than usual just because it happened to snow all day today. Like, actual soft snowflakes that stuck to your hair and eyelashes. So with the snow being around in town, truly a winter wonderland for me, people were beyond compacted into our little restaurant. I was walking along, clearing tables, chatting with customers asking their stories and whatnot, you know, doing my job, then i walked up to the table across the till birds stand where three kiwi blokes were just finishing up with their burgers. As i was clearing their table and making small chat, the one on the very left told me 'i'm very energetic and positive with my job situation..seeing as if hundreds of people pass by everyday, and having to deal with the rush, and people, and side jobs, its quite easy to get bit stressed out and not much of a 'customer-lover'.
I quickly thanked him, and was about to move on to the next dudes makin a mess of themselves at the table, when the guy in the middle asked, "can you tell me something? You enjoy taking walks alone don't you?" a) i laughed out loud at such a ridiculous statement. b) i was 9 hours into work and pretty whomped, and last but not least, i thought this is probably the weirdest pick up line i've ever heard and am quite curious with how he'd entangle such a question into asking for my phone number..
I think my thoughts were written on my forehead because he then proceeded to tell me that God told him to ask me that. I literally was speechless.
That day happened to be Sunday, i was scheduled to work for 11 hours including until ten pm that night which meant i was going to miss church. Church is my easiest form of getting out of the rush of this town and meditate to what God is telling me. So waking up that morning, i knew i was going to be pretty bummed that i wouldn't have the chance to do so..
Through out the day, i would say little prayers like, "God, i'm pretty tired dude, please amp me up a bit more."
"hey, please help me look like i'm at least bit cheerful and loving my life just a bit more than usual so people find an appeal rather than blow me off as just another waitress" and my favorite one, "God, i'm pretty bored, please send someone my way to have an interesting buzzy conversation with to help pass the time at work quicker."
Like i said, i was 9 hours into it and still not to sure what to think of all this; all a sudden he continued to tell me that
God is telling Him to tell me to keep at the adventure that i've started with Him.
There are two types of 'christians' those who believe in God, and obey the man made religious rules and try and live by good standards and those who test and question God knowing at the end of it all, God just wants us to have the ultimate adventure. If we continue to abide in Him and fully put our trust and thoughts into Him, He will surely provide the path to ultimate freedom, ( which is ironic, because so many Christians have made religion into a trap and an icon for rules and standards, where in fact its all the opposite and Jesus always preached to live outside the standards of man, follow Truth and Love in all your ways, and life will be epic). Anyways, this guy, randomly, sitting in the middle of Fergburger Queenstown, is telling me all these things that i've been hoping to hear, and was in so much need of hearing. Buzzy. God speaks, we just gotta shut up, stop being ignorant and know it all smart asses and listen.. its unfortunate that pride gets in the way or powerful interactions.
Just had to write it down, because i'm still buzzing out about it, and still encouraged more than ever. P.S. today, one of my co workers, pulled me aside and was like, "Catiy, you're a weird girl. You do things that normal girls wouldn't do." As much as that would/could be an insult, i took it as the biggest compliment ever.
Do your thing, don't let man/friends/strangers try and define you. Play outside and run the trails more dangerous. At the end, you'll be tired and haggard and sore and look like complete shi....p., but at the end of it all, you'll be one hell of a smilin' humble bloke who just found your own trail that no other has ever stepped foot on.

Trained Tongues.
Same ish, different country.
I'm bored of hearing the same stories/excuses/confessions from people.
Catch me off guard,
Tell me something new.
Empty promises. Empty dreams. Endless Speeches.
Seems these days only mother earth provides new joys and endless surprises with each sunrise.
Oh society how you have bored me today.
When you pray, move your feet.
