Anniversaries

  Today was Florence & Laurents
10 year marriage anniversary.

They both had to work at their very high stressful jobs, which was unfortunate, but as soon as the youngest gommie woke up, I decided to throw a big surprise party for them once they got home.

 The kids and I walked
the dog to the photo shop down the street to print out two of
my favorite photos that I captured this past month of the family. On the way back home, we stopped by the flower shop and picked up a bouquet of Pink Roses and Two long stemmed sunflowers... The flower girl even gifted the kids free beautiful orange flowers. They were sooo happy.

This is what Florence and Laurent walked into:

The kids had so much fun helping me cut out and color letters and run errands.
The simplicity of a childs heart and sheer amusement of something new and different always has amazed me.
Through out today, I'd just sit back and watch the kids scurry about, talking at 100 mph in French about what else they can decorate and color and cut and glue. Just planning on how to surprise Mom and Dad.

        Genuine.

I thoroughly enjoy glancing up at the moments least expected.
-The mouth of someone who is in full concentration mode.
-The eyebrows on someone who has just had a realization.
-The depth of mystery and surprise in the strangers eyes who happens to look at me the same time as I at them..

Eye Contact:
[One of the most Powerful Ways the Heart Speaks.]

'Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.'
Matthew 18: 2-3

Simple
Real.
Grudgless
Moving.

I pray daily that the Childlike Spirit within me never fades,
even when I'm 82,
If this body of mine allows it,
You shall find Nanu (Nanny) Catiy amidst the duck-duck-goose circle or within a closest playing a round of Hide & Go Seek with my nephews and neices.

Florence & Laurent took pictures of the setup and sent it to the granparents and few friends. Then they went out for dinner, and the kids and I watched a 3 D (with the special effect glasses and everything) French cartoon about Paris.
This song was my absolute favorite.

Random Fact: The woman singing is Johnny Depps ex French wife Vanessa Paradis.

She's resplendent, so confident

I realize I'm hypnotized
I hear the moon singing a tune
Is she devine? Is it the wine?
I don't know, don't know, so don't ask me why
That's how we are, the Seine and I I don't know,
don't know, so don't ask me why
That's how we are, the Seine and I
I feel alive when I'm beside La Seine
From this angle like an angel
I don't know, don't know, so don't ask me why
That's how we are, the Seine and I
I don't know, don't know, so don't ask me why
That's how we are, the Seine and I
Upon the bridge [My heart does beat]
Between the waves [We will be saved]
The air we breathe [Can you believe?]
Learn to forgive upon the bridge
That's how we are, the Seine and I

Today [August 30, 2012] a Tourist asked me where a certain street was,

Now You See Her, Now You Don't.

“Traveling is a brutality.
It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends.
 You are constantly off balance.
Nothing is yours except the essential things –
air,
                                                               sleep,

dreams,

                                         the sea,

the sky
 – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.”

I Know Places We Can Go, Babe.

This song.
So smooth.
So blue.
The words perfectly entwined the thoughts in my head.
Oh the language that is music.

Your Mind is Playing Tricks on You my Dear.

This song forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever until him and I  are together in the same country again. Until then, I play this on repeat

I don't like walking around this old and empty house.
So hold my hand, I'll walk with you my dear
The stairs creak as I sleep, it's keeping me awake
It's the house telling you to close your eyes
Some days I can't even dress myself.
It's killing me to see you this way.

'Cause though the truth may varythis ship will carry our bodies safe to shore.

There's an old voice in my head
that's holding me back

Well tell her that I miss our little talks.

Soon it will all be over, buried with our past
We used to play outside when we were young
and full of life and full of love.

Some days I feel like I'm wrong when I am right.
Your mind is playing tricks on you my dear.

'Cause though the truth may vary
This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Hey!Don't listen to a word I sayHey!The screams all sound the same.Hey!Though the truth may varythis ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

You're gone, gone, gone away,

I watched you disappear.

All that's left is a ghost of you.
Now we're torn, torn, torn apart,

there's nothing we can do,

Just let me go, we'll meet again soon.

Now wait, wait, wait for me, please hang around
I'll see you when I fall asleep.

Officially Unpacked.

22.
Paris, France.
Alone.
New.
 Scared.
 Anxious.
Excited.
Happy.
Thankful.

So today is Sunday August 26, 2012.

Today I've managed to officially clean the loft and unpack the last of the few things left in my bag. As you know, The first month I've moved to France, I went traveling all over managing to see bits of Italy and Switzerland.

This is my loft. It is small. It is new. It is a new beginning.

'In everything give thanks;

for this is the

will of God in Christ Jesus for you.'

Birthday Babe

It is 1:09 am here in Paris, France.
Yesterday I went to Disneyland in Paris.
That place is magical.
Completely exhausted and realized just few moments ago that it is my best friends/little sisters 18th birthday.
I miss her so much.
I still remember her as 7 year old.
Man, oh man. I am so lucky to have her as a sister, and even luckier to be her friend. I have honestly never met anyone like this 18 year old. Her heart is pure gold and she cares for everyone.
I pray so hard that nothing breaks her strength.
Love you J-Butt.
Stay classy, stay humble.
-your big sister Catiy.
